Description:	Operations Manager Position Description: Under the guidance from the Army Program Director, this position provides direct management and over site of all operational activities from Task Order award through DD250 signature. Work Location: Herndon, VA Description: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Day to day management oversight of Long Term Field Service Personnel; • Manage implementation of upgrades to Nortel switches worldwide for the US Army to include SL-100 and Meridian platforms. Organize, schedule, direct and coordinate planning and implementation of all operational contract support activities and deliverables. • Manage and coordinate subcontractors • Deliver projects within budget and assure customer satisfaction • Assure project delivery processes and procedures are followed • Schedules personnel responding to critical situations • Maintains communication with design management and specialists in resolving technical problems and/or bridging problems. • Provide input to proposal team regarding schedule and labor hours to implement; KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Results driven orientation, with a strong track record of success • Understanding of project management best practices including processes, tools and techniques. • Demonstrated ability to manage complex and sometimes challenging relationships with customers, technical staff, peers, managers and other contractors. • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. • Strong interpersonal skills • Extensive knowledge of networking

Requirements:	EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • Thorough knowledge of Army organizational structure, mission objectives, functions, and procedures pertaining to the Department of the Army. • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field, Masters preferred. • PMP Certified preferred. WORK ENVIRONMENT • Approximately 50% travel
