Position Description:

Under the guidance from the LTLCS Program Director and Senior Operations Manger, this position provides direct management and over site of all project deliverables and activities from Task Order award through DD250 signature.

Work Location: Herndon, VA

Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Day to day management and oversight of assigned projects.

• Organize, schedule, direct and coordinate planning and implementation of all activities and deliverables defined by the Task Order Award issued by the military.

• Manage and coordinate project subcontractors where applicable.

• Monitor all associated equipment, material and labor orders to track project costs as incurred, to ensure projects are completed within budget and customer satisfaction levels are maintained.

• Maintain all project communications between BBNS, customer POC(s), and subcontractors as required, ensuring installation progress and critical milestones are achieved as defined.

• Provide input to proposal team regarding schedule and labor hours to implement, to include but not limited to:

• Conduct pre-proposal site surveys as required.
Comments:WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Approximately 30-40% travel.
Requirements:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Proven record of success in managing large, technically complex and geographically dispersed projects end to end (order/delivery/implementation/commissioning/test and acceptance).
• Understanding of project management best practices including processes, tools and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex and sometimes challenging relationships with customers, technical staff, peers, managers and other contractors.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• xtensive knowledge of telecommunications networks, including but not limited to voice, data, inside/outside plant wiring, power and grounding.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Highly knowledgeable of the Nortel Networks portfolio of switching systems: SL100, Meridian, Succession, CallPilot Voicemail. Certifications a plus.
• Also prefer working knowledge of data products to include routers, switches, and basic IP networking.
• Familiarity with voice network integration testing in the PSTN to include T1, ISDN, and Fiber.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field, Masters preferred.
• PMP Certified preferred.
• The successful candidate would ideally have previous experience in managing and delivering technical solutions to the military, preferably the U.S. Army. This experience should demonstrate an understanding of the Army structure for telecommunications procurement of equipment and services, organization and standard.
